S. Craig Taylor, DMD
Family Dentist in Monroe, GA
A resident of Monroe since he was four years old, Dr. Taylor is an honor graduate of both Monroe Area High and the University of Georgia, receiving a Bachelor of Science, Magna Cum Laude in Zoology in 1976. He continued his education at the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in Augusta, being awarded the Doctor of Dental Medicine degree (D.M.D.) in 1980.
Dr. Taylor opened his private practice in Monroe in 1981, moving to his present location on Broad Street in 1986. Over the years, his commitment to staying involved in the Monroe community has been a priority in both his personal and professional life. He is a former Eagle Scout and has served in a number of leadership positions in the Northeast Georgia Council Boy Scouts of America, receiving both the District Award of Merit and the Silver Beaver Award. He has served on the Monroe City Council, the Walton County Development Authority, as Chairman of the Monroe Utilities Network and president of On Stage, Inc., and in local student and parent-teacher organizations. He is a Past President of the Monroe Rotary Club and is both a Paul Harris and Will Watt Fellow.
Dr. Taylor continues to further his education through his memberships in the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Clarke County and Eastern District Dental Societies and the Hinman Dental Society. He is the Eastern District Past President and currently serves on the GDA board of trustees. He is one of only two dentists in Walton County who holds a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. He resides in Monroe with his wife Kathy. They are proud parents of daughters Kelly and Kristen.
Micah Shaw, DMD
Family Dentist in Monroe, GA
Born in Atlanta, Dr. Shaw grew up in Massachusetts but returned to Georgia to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Georgia Tech. He went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree (D.M.D.) from the Medical College of Georgia in 2011.
Dr. Shaw moved to Oconee with his wife Dr. Melissa Shaw, to be near family. Dr. Melissa Shaw is a pediatric dentist with Athens Dentistry for Children. They recently had their 3rd child. Dr. Micah Shaw worked in a number of dental practices before finding a permanent home with us in 2014. He has appreciated being able to do quality patient-centered dentistry close to home.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Shaw has a number of hobbies including woodworking and relaxing with his friends and family. He also volunteers at the FISH dental clinic here in Monroe, and with his church.
Angie, Office Manager

Angie has been with our practice since 1997. As our Office Manager, she keeps us organized and helps our patients with insurance and financial arrangements so they can get the care they need. Her generous and kind nature makes her an invaluable part of our team.
Angie has been married to Bo since 1988 and has 1 daughter, Brooke. She and her family are members of the Monroe Church of God, and they enjoy playing softball, drag racing and going to the beach.
Kathy Taylor, Registered Dental Hygienist
“I love introducing dentistry to the very young patient and making their “first ever” visit a very comfortable, fun and exciting experience. Our practice has a warm, relaxed atmosphere – it is important to us to make our patients feel completely at home.”
Kathy has been in dentistry since 1978. She holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. As the “Team Mom” of our practice, Kathy wears many hats, and always with a smile.
She and Dr. Taylor have two daughters, Kristen and Kelly. Kristen lives in Monroe and Kelly teaches elementary school in Charlotte. The Taylors have 2 Boykin Spaniels named Molly and Oakley.
Kim, Expanded Duties Dental Assistant

Kim has served dentistry since 2000, and has been with our practice since 2002. Her warm, friendly nature makes her a perfect fit for both our team and our patients.
She has two children, Jessica, who attends the University of Georgia, and Kaylyn who likes to play sports. Kim enjoys cooking and spending time with her family.
Susan, Registered Dental Hygienist
“I enjoy the one-on-one time with my patients and helping them work through their fears of dentistry with calm reassurance. Teachers and school children have known me as the “tooth lady” from many years of children's dental health month skits in Walton County Schools.”
Susan has practiced as a Dental Hygienist since 1977, and joined our practice in 1986.
She holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. Susan's clinical experience and lifelong relationships with our patients and the Monroe community have made her our Practice Ambassador, and we truly value and appreciate her service to the profession of dentistry.
Jennifer, Registered Dental Hygienist

Jennifer has been with the practice since 2012 and has practiced dental hygien since 2002. Jennifer lives in the jersey area with her husband, Cliff, and their three boys, Will, Nate and Eli. Jennifer and Cliff have also been foster parents since 2014.
Jennifer and her family are members of Crosspointe Church in Oxford. She enjoys running, reading, and camping with her family.
